The drone has arrived!

The other day, a drone arrived at our house.

It’s an agricultural drone designed to spray pesticides to protect the rice crops.

Until now, spraying pesticides was a very time-consuming and labor-intensive task, as it required people to walk through the rice paddies. It was physically demanding in the summer heat, and it was not uncommon for the task to take over an hour.

However, using this drone has completely changed the situation.

Once the flight path is set, it automatically flies over the rice paddies and evenly sprays the pesticide where needed.

As a result, a task that used to take over an hour is now completed in just about five minutes.

Watching it in action, I was amazed and thought, “Can it really make such a difference?”

Of course, the drone doesn’t do everything. There are still many important tasks that people must handle, such as pre-flight inspections, preparing the pesticide, and safety checks.

Still, because we can now finish time-consuming tasks in a fraction of the time, we can use that extra time to monitor rice growth and focus on activities that improve quality.

New technology doesn’t take away people’s jobs; rather, it frees up time so we can focus on the work that only humans can do.

We’ve entered an era where the heavy labor that used to be the norm can now be completed in just a few minutes.

Technological progress is truly amazing.
