A seasonal stroll where you can enjoy the reflection on the water

In Nishiki Town, where rice planting has just wrapped up, the water in the paddies reflects the sky
perfectly, creating a vast “water mirror” landscape—a sight that can only be seen right now.

Yesterday’s high was 30°C.

While it felt quite hot during the day, a cool breeze begins to blow in the evening—a characteristic of this region.
Yesterday, my wife and I went for a walk while enjoying that breeze.

We have our usual walking route, and we even provide a walking map for our guests to follow. As evening falls

, the wind settles a bit, and the colors of the sky and the flow of the clouds are quietly reflected on the water’s surface. Even though we’re just walking, it creates a strange sensation, as if we were walking through the sky itself.

Even though it’s a view I see every year,

I find myself stopping in my tracks, thinking, “Ah, this season has come around again.”

You can enjoy this watery reflection only for a very short time, until the rice plants grow tall. It’s one of my favorite scenes in Nishiki Town
