The red spider lilies are in bloom.

The red spider lilies have bloomed in my garden again this year.
Before I knew it, they had stretched their stems skyward and, in the blink of an eye, unfurled their vibrant red blossoms.

Their slender petals and long stamens catch the light, as if to announce that fall has arrived.
Although there are still some days when the heat lingers, seeing the red spider lilies reminds me that the seasons are indeed moving forward.

Although they bloom every year around this time, I feel a little happy every time I spot them.
